‘DANCE AND INCLUSION’ is the first international conference in Georgia, which explores global inclusive practices in dance and performing arts. The conference is supported by the World Inclusive Dance Association.

 

TBILISI, GEORGIA - “Dance and Inclusion”, which will be held on 28th of February, 2021 by GNWDSF, is the first of its kind online event, which aims raising awareness on local and international level about inclusive practices involved in making performing arts and dance accessible for everyone. International and local experts are going to speak about their own experience and views on the subject of inclusion.

Speaker list includes such star performer and dances as Joel Brown from the well-known CandoCo. Dance Company (London), who will share his personal insight on the subject. Maya Darchia will speak on behalf of British Council of Georgia and their support in development of inclusive performing arts in Georgia. Ray Bulpitt, one of the founders of World Inclusive Dance Association, will share his expertise on inclusive dance practices from organizational and applied point of view. Ketevan Zazanashvili, the host and the founder of GNWDSF and Tbilisi Inclusive Dance Co. is going to share her future plans.

This is a unique opportunity of an international connection and a chance to get the answers on the most challenging questions, for those who are interested in inclusive performing arts and culture in general.

Conference is one and a half hour long, and will be held in English with the translation into Georgian available. Each speaker has 20 minutes for their presentation and attendees are going to have time for question and answer section after every presentation.

Georgian National Wheelchair Dance Sport Federation promotes inclusion and equality through dance sport and performing arts.
