Inclusive Dance UK invite at the Manchester Grand Prix

The Manchester Grand Prix Online Open Inclusive Dance Festival will be held on June 26-27, 2021

During these two days, online competitions will be among couples and solo dancers in improvisation, Ballroom and Latin American, held in real time.

Online. Teams and Freestyle/Showdance will be held in the format of video recordings.

The skill of the participants will be evaluated by the members of our international jury.

The winners of the competitions will receive electronic certificates. All other participants will receive a certificate of participation.

Our Guest Experts will conduct online workshops on both days prior to the start of the competition.

Terms of participation for Online competitions among the teams (Showdance videorecords):

10 € for the team of 2 people for each presentation (dance)

15 € for the team of 3-5 people for each presentation (dance)

20 € for the team of 6 people and more for each presentation (dance)

The number of applications is not limited

The deadline for accepting applications is June 20, 2021.

The team dance directions are in different categories:

  • pop dance,
  • ballroom dance,
  • folk dance,
  • modern dance,
  • club (street) dance,
  • classical dance

Age categories: Children (7 y.o. – 18 y.o.), youth and adult ( 19 y.o. and above)

Terms of participation for Online competitions among couples (Live in Zoom):

 10 € per one couple in each category of dance:

  • D-class Dancesport: three types of dances (Waltz, Samba, Jive)
  • A-class Latin: five types of dances (Samba, Cha-cha-cha, Rumba, Jive, Paso Doble)
  • A-class Standard Ballroom: five types of dances (Waltz, Tango, Viennese waltz, Slow Foxtrot, Quickstep)
  • D-class Improvisation: two dances (the music of different styles. The first dance is fast, the second dance is slow)
  • A-class Improvisation: three dances (the music of different styles. The first dance is fast, the second dance is slow, the third dance with complex rhythm)

Music is chosen by the organizers

 5 € per one dancer in each category:

    • D-class Dancesport: three types of dances (Waltz, Samba, Jive)
    • A-class Latin: five types of dances (Samba, Cha-cha-cha, Rumba, Jive, Paso Doble)
    • A-class Standard Ballroom: five types of dances (Waltz, Tango, Viennese waltz, Slow Foxtrot, Quickstep)

Schedule of the Festival*

June 26th , 2021

09 am GMT – Inclusive dance workshop. Alex Ross McCabe (Scotland) (45 minutes, free admission for all participants)

10 am GMT – Competitions among teams and singles in Showdance (VIDEORECORDINGS). The approximate duration of the competition is 4 hours.

 

June 27th , 2021

09 am GMT – Inclusive dance workshop. Laurence Ricordeau (France) (45 minutes, free admission for all participants)

10 am GMT – Competitions among couples and singles in Dancesport and Dance improvisation. Online ZOOM dancing. The approximate duration of the competition is 4 hours.
