Research

Research in the field of inclusive dance is one of the most important activities of the World Inclusive Dance Association. Inclusive dance is a place where art and social work, practice and science intersect. Inclusive dance exists in the world in very diverse forms, both as a direction of dance rehabilitation of people with disabilities, and as a direction of contemporary art.

One of the sources of research is the experience of inclusive dance groups and studios in different countries of the world, the analysis of the achieved results demonstrated by groups at festivals, competitions, and show programs. Another important source of knowledge is conferences with scientists from leading universities of the world from the perspective of modern sciences: philosophy and cultural studies, pedagogy and psychology, choreography and rehabilitation.

In November 2021, an international scientific and practical conference on inclusive dance will be held, which will be attended by leading practitioners from around the world and scientists from universities dealing with the topic of inclusion. As a result of this conference, a unique book will be prepared, which will contain articles by specialists on the theoretical foundations, history of inclusive dance, methodological approaches, technologies and techniques. This book will be illustrated and published in many languages.
